Illustration for Coca-Cola
In celebration of 125 years, Coca-Cola did a collection of "125 Reasons to Believe in a Better World." Furia Design Agency asked me to draw for reason #42, "Love is Greater than Crisis." The illustration is of a "love giant" formed out of characters expressing true bliss, while a piece of gum stuck on his heel goes unnoticed.
Grati-doodz
During the pandemic, I started making daily lists of what I am grateful for and then combining those things into one drawing, called a “Grati-dood”.
Beauty and Purpose
One way to start each day with purpose is to focus on positive affirmations. Since many of us have a routine that begins at our vanity or makeup desk, I created reminders that can be recited as we do our makeup. Each one is related to a different cosmetic so our routines have purpose.
Shoe lovers know how important good organization is for keeping your collection nice and putting together your outfits. In order to quickly identify which pair is in each box, I colored the shoe within this collage.
I love the idea of using asymmetrical earrings to tell a mini story. The “Thinking Cap” is so last season. To prepare for a creative ideation session, how about wearing these brainstorm earrings?
More Cats Please
Before I start a cat illustration, I see if the one in my mind already exists and if it doesn’t I make it. For my son’s trip to the Ice cream Museum, I drew ice cream cats in a cone for his onesie.
The Green Room in Fort Lauderdale, FL hosted a Caturday art event and displayed my pen and ink illustration of a cat collage entitled, “Pick of the Litter,” of which I later gifted to my cats.
Also, does a black cat font for Friday the 13th exist? It does now.
Scary Stuff
Taking the color palette from the movie, “The Exorcist,” I drew Reagan in sweatband for a yoga bag.
I illustrated a collage of horror movie villains as a gift for my husband’s birthday.
Did you know there are over 1,400 species of bats? While closely studying their different faces, I notice how cute they are. Look it! It’s friggin’ bats!
And if you are a fan of podcasts that focus on true crime, then you know of Karen and Georgia on “MFM,” including the inside acronyms I added to the trees surrounding the two hosts while together they create a subliminal skull. Spooooky!
Vector Illustrations
For the annual holiday card for Boost Creative, I drew a vector illustration of pine trees taking off, playing into the rocket theme of the agency.
During the pandemic, I could not rest creatively, so together (virtually) with a friend, we created a social channel, combining crafting and true crime. This is the logo I made for our social channels.
For the POP Cats event in Miami, I created this personal logo for my swag bag.
While in charge of all the game day materials for the Florida Everblades, I drew this kids’ coloring page of the mascot, Swampee.
